  7. Twenty years ago, trains were cancelled near Turnham Green one morning - signal cables had been stolen. Nothing new about this, just a vast increase in opportunities for theft.

  8. Take the wiring and the things will stop working. If it doesn't look damaged, perhaps it's because they are conscientous thieves . . . ?
