It's not just that Hertz is disposing of its EV fleet, it has also disposed of the CEO whose dozy plan it was to buy them in the first place . . .

Perhaps rail travel would have been better for her? Just sayin' . . .

Makes this a 'high risk' video for him . . .

* it will create a two tier society * That's the intention.

‘Green’ aspects of the “net zero” fiasco are colour of money and naïveté of promoters, investors and buyers.

I report those YT promotion comments as spam. It amazes me that someone admits to believing them !

Only if you were paid . . .

Virtue-signalling?

It depreciates, it degrades, commensurate with age and use no matter what. Selling it crystallises that (lack of) value, whereas keeping it and running it into the ground (for how long?) amortises the purchases price over the life of the vehicle, literally. If that gives you an acceptable cost per annum, you've won. If not, don't do it again.

As "dead-end" technology goes, so will EVs - into the dustbin of history.

I've had calls offering to check the efficacy of double-glazed windows and damp-proof course of my house, one which is less than twenty years old. On asking, I was told that internal inspection would be necessary. A septuagenarian living alone, I declined those free offers . . .

Fried . . . . ask KFC! Not pronounced ‘freed’, unless you're a pretentious individual who barely speaks English . . . Not content with abusing depositors, he's corrupting the language. Pronounce his name correctly! Not 'freed', but fried, as in chicken, eggs and bacon, etc.
2
Social dominance, legal dominance, financial dominance, religious dominance, cultural dominance - complete, totalitarian dominance is the name of the game for the new Axis powers . . .

As long as they had something to eat . . .

It's an EV problem sure enough - too few people wanting to rent them . . . @ErikDJ123

Brexit has left UK 5% worse off than otherwise? It's not about the money. “Success can also be measured by the disasters which do not happen.” (Ronnie Reagan POTUS 1984)

Goes like a Bullit ?

Why?

So many still think that continued hispanic legal immigration to the USA is acceptable. They might wake up to dangers demographic change brings, but it’s not looking likely. U.S. children will soon be adversely affected by any and all non-English speakers in schools, eventually impacting the economic, military, social and cultural viability of the entire country.

It's called 'gold' . . .

@ax14pz107 Yes, but it was ours . . .

€USSR wants to regulate everything, regardless . . .

Who is this bloke and why does he think he's relevant?
1
@bill_the_butcher Not really; I've seen his stuff before, watched it, rejected it . . .

Ten million sales, fourteen millions, twenty millions, and so on. As an accountant, I can say that the most difficult part of formulating a budget is getting the sales forecast as near reality as possible, for production volumes, cash-flow and selling prices, etc., all hinge on a limiting factor. I hope egg production keeps pace, as a lot will find its way onto executives' faces in time.

Social control, legal control, financial control, religious control, cultural control - complete, totalitarian control is the name of their game . . .
1
The cost to use would be huge, as liability for discards would have to be covered.
1
@Shane-zl9ry Depends if 'half-price' represents real value for the remainder of its life How would you know? Buy on price, pay twice.
1
@Shane-zl9ry It's cheap to won now, you say, but what has been the life-time cost of it? Now revise those numbers to current costs . . .
1
The word "commercial" should give you a clue . . . . they're not charities . . .
1
It was happening in the UK early this century.
1
Good luck with that - have you told the insurance provider for your house that you're doing this?
1
@Nht375 There's apparently a high risk factor to charging in the manner you state. Cover yourself; don't risk learning the hard way.
1
Have a look at pensions for UK public service workers and those of transport workers in France. It would be mind-blowingly revealing . . .

Spending billion$ on EV charging when enough "ICE charging" (aka gas stations) already exist. Goverments sure know how to waste taxpayers' money . . . ‘Green’ aspects of the “net zero” fiasco are colour of money and naïveté of promoters, investors and buyers.

. . . . if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and care for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age . . . . Excerpt from Churchill's "Finest Hour" speech 1940. Still relevant today - different enemies, same threat.

How China appeared to Become A Superpower . . . . part two will cover their rapid decline . . .

Used on short local trips only and if you have oodles of cash sitting around . . . ?
1
The word you're looking for is "oppression". The culture of oppression is slowly but surely ramping up . . . Social, legal, financial, religious, cultural control, complete totalitarian control is the name of their insidious game ~ vote as if your life depends on it, because it does!
1
America [and elsewhere] must reject illusions of debt-based consumerism . . . . an infinite world of pleasure with no foundation of morality - or see an end to current freedom and prosperity.
1
'Hot desking' has been around for many years now . . . . it will of course be used more and more . . .
1
Yes, along with 'working from home' which isn't new either. @bendybruce

@nisnber5760 Playing with words there, just as this guy was playing with other people's money (though not a socialist).
1
Britain was quietly destroying herself in the mid-1920s, with the coal-miners' strike and a general strike. Communism threatened. It's no better now . . .
1
@sciencefliestothemoon2305 Swiss autoroutes are fine and main roads are adequate but slow - and very scenic. I've driven across using both systems.
