Baby-boomers; the generation born into real austerity, which worked a six-day week, had only a fortnight’s paid annual holiday and fewer bank holidays than now, limited employment protection, limited mortgage availability, limited access to university education, no long-haul holidays, few motorways or cars, endured Wilson’s and Callaghan’s socialist governments, suffered alternate miners’ and electrical workers’ strikes, yet still worked hard, saved and bought houses, whilst bringing up a age group which is so spoiled and ungrateful it doesn’t know how well-off it is?
