  1. If this goes to Manchester and Leeds, it will have reached the north-midlands. The real north is two hours and 100+ miles to the actual north . . . . it begins at the River Tees.

  3. Such lines exist on the continent. This one for UK is mandated by €USSR and post-Brexit, it should be ditched - it should have been ditched years ago.
