Munich 1938 was an attempt to avert war, a mere twenty years after the Great War. Britain could not do otherwise, as France refused to act. Look up French losses in WW1. The threat of US manpower was a catalyst, little more, to ending that conflict. A forgotten element of all that was the 'line in the sand' about Poland, for which Britain was to pay dearly and to which, at the time, the USA did not give support. Understand European thinking in the 1920s and 1930s.

Not what I say, but what I do - in this respect Joe has no track record of consistency with regard to firmness. Only time will tell . . .

Yes, the USA voted for Obarmy, twice. Anybody can make a mistake, but repeating it is very bad; now his VP has been elected. Vote Dem in 2024 and the USA is over . . .
