  1. fact: Partners HealthCare CEO Anne Klibanski, who makes between $2M and $6M every year, has refused to pay her hospital staff hazard pay during this crisis. Last year, the company made $485M in profit. The American health care system is beyond broken.

  2. Well, it's done. My parents divorce was finalized yesterday, They're no longer married after 52 years. Still in love and still together but divorce was necessary because of Dad's medical bills. Now, when Dad passes, mom won't be saddled with $288,000 in debt. She's free and the house is in her name. Pretty sad that decades of marriage comes to an end because of the American medical system. :-P

  9. My cousin had a commitment ceremony with his girlfriend this past weekend because if they were to be married, she would lose access to Medicaid and they would be unable to afford her insulin. Just sharing in case you forgot about how much of a hellscape our healthcare system is.

  13. something cool about healthcare in America is that, I pay $341 every month for insurance and now after my old hearing aid stopped working, I have the option of paying $1500.00 for a $2000.00 hearing aid or paying $60.00 for , wait for it, a $60.00 hearing aid!!!
