EU could had been competitive right with them, rivaling the USA even.   19. It is the punishment of not having your own country, and living in the worst place on earth: the middle east. A place filled with oil and riches, and such a big population, none of the countries would want an independent Kurdistan lest they will start WW3. The best option for the Kurds is to fight for autonomous parts in their respective countries. In time, those parts can merge and when WW3 does come, we will liberate Kurdistan.
