Palestine isn't a country, perhaps? It was a mandate, but it got split in Israel and Jordan.

@iloveallah5960 not how it went. Palestine came to be in 70 AD, after the jewish revolt. Back then it was the mandate of Judah or Judea to some, but later became Palestine when the romans changed its name. Over almost 2000 years it was conquered by various empires, and was always a mandate to all. Untill 1948, when it became Israel and Jordan. (Jordan is 75% of historic palestine). Jordan was for arabs, Israel for jews but the jews got Jerusalem and that was not acceptable to arabs. Thus began the conflict. The centre of the conflict is the Al Aqsa mosque, not palestenians or their children (who didn't call themselves palestenians untill 1967). Untill arabs begin to care more about their children then their hatred against jews, perhaps then peace can come in the region.

@ZK-ff2ru aint Israeli or jewish, but I do defend Israel sometimes when people are being unfair. I want the conflict to end.
