  29.  @littletalk9558  I have studied real history. Palestine used to be called Judea or Judah, and was compromised of Israel and Jordan. After the romans conquered it it became Syria-Palestina. Many rulers have conquered Syria-Palestina and the name remained that way untill the 20th century. The name Syria was given to the golan height and further north, and Palestina to Israel and Jordan. The british called it Palestine. Palestine was mostly desert and had always a jewish presence, who were allowed to live there with Jizya. When the ottoman empire was in decline in the 19th century, the jews asked the ottoman sultan to offer the land to them and they would in return give him alot of money and prosperity (the jewish talmud was an excellent guide to establish trade, and the jews were very good at it). He refused, and instead ordered and invited local muslims to immigrate to their. The ones who went there were mostly arab bedouins but also ottoman soldiers and their families. When the british took over, and tensions rose they offered the 2 state solution. 75% (Jordan) would be arab and 25% (Israel jewish). The jews accepted, arabs did not and revolted. Many wars later Israel was established anyway, and stood there ground. 5 peace offerings were made to split the 25% of jewish land among the revolting arabs, but arabs refused. Arafat took the palestenian identity to fight Israel, which he despised because he wanted all of palestine to be called Jordan. He was later assasinated and Mahmoud Abbas took over, and he is even more radical then arafat. The palestenian identity was made for the short term, arafat assumed Israel would fall very soon and he could change it later to Jordan. It didn't fell, and thats why arabs are now stuck with palestenian identity.
