It's propaganda. The civil war in Ethiopia was the bloodiest conflict of 2022 and 2023. Bakhmut had already fallen in November 2022 but Zelensky insisted on sending more and more troops. The collapse became bloody instead of swift. It ended in May 2023.

No need for a new cold war. Nato just has to back-off from Ukraine and make peace. USSR is dead, the champion of communism is no longer a threat. The old boomers in charge still treat Russia as if they still spread communism. This war is a bad idea, and is hurting the West.
