  1.  @jgw9990  very true. It's also the only reason why the US allowed the emperor to remain, in order to fight off communism and have their puppet state. Same way Germany was allowed to exist. If there was no communism, I guess there would been no Japan or Germany as we know it today.

  2.  @seasonalserotonin2559  more like Europe. Japan chose to sell themselves to the US, and is basically an US puppet state (but pays a great contribution for their defense).
