  29. Schizophrenia is a terrible infliction. Being in his mind must have been hell. Recognising his mental torment & feeling pity for Vince doesn’t take anything away from the absolute horror & anguish that Tim & those who love him have been forced to endure. My heart breaks for them. I can’t even imagine the pain & loss that they live with, every day of their lives.

  47. He spent longer in prison than most adults who commit a murder do in Britain & Europe. I always find it hard to judge “early release” in America when someone has served over 20 years already… I support sentences like 9 years to life. If a board of experts confirm that someone has been rehabilitated & is not a danger they should be released…but if they are still not safe after 50 or more years, they should stay in prison. It’s hard to trust the system when inmates are paroled when all the specialists say they are dangerous & overcrowding appears to be the only reason to release them!
