  2. I totally feel you, brother. Same here. I have removed the SIM card from the smartphone and I am leaving it at home when I don't need the internet where I am going. I was also excited about computers and the internet back in the 2000s, but now I am kind of fed up with so much tech being forced upon us.

  6. I use Wire secure messenger. It offers the choice between logging in via e-mail or phone number. Most apps force you to use a phone number. I prefer something that is multiplatform as well. If that Jitsi meets the requirements, then it will do for a good alternative.
