The system in the USA is old. I am lucky that I live in Canada and that we have universal healthcare. What if a person is homeless? He won't be able to go to the hospital in the USA? What if a person lost his job or he's a student? Unfortunately, in Canada, they don't cover dental. When I was a student, I did not go to the dentist until there was a problem and at that point, it is too late. Massive tooth ache that requires doing a root canal. And when you do a root canal, the tooth only lasts another 10 y and starts to break apart.
