Yes, it is easy to tell someone else to suck it up, to tell them "you don't look sick" when you are a healthy person. Healthy people have no idea how it feels to have some of these diseases. I ran into plenty of people who had POTS (I think it is postural orstatic tachycardia syndrome) and other tachycardia problems on the weeb who were saying they were frustrated by such people and doctors who haven't heard of these diseases.

@EmpressLilith222 "Western medicine doctors are only here to keep you sick so that you keep coming in so that you continue being their patient and they continue making money off of you! Wake up!" ==In my case it was the opposite. I was going once a month or so and also to different hospitals. One of them took a look at my records and asked what is going on. She collected all the information that was reported in my files. I was previously prescribed anxiety medication but since I don't feel anxious, I did not take it. Also, the first pill I had taken made me feel awful. So, the doc prescribed 2 drugs. Again, the first 2 doses made me feel like crap. Also, it takes something like 2 or 3 months for venlafaxine to start to work. So, that solved my problem and I didn't go back. I just go for yearly checkups. The canadian system is already overloaded. They try to reduce visits.

@BlazeCarlton Then that is not a good doctor. If it was me, I would want my patients to understand some of the science at least and they need to have an idea what could be causing their problem. When the doctor asks what did you eat, they are trying to figure out if the problem comes from what you ate. Telling them what you think your problem is can give important clues. Medicine is not straightforward. You also seem to be suggesting that doctors are in it for the money,. Are you from the USA?

@BlazeCarlton Sorry. I understood the opposite of what you said. I thought you had written that doctors prefer patients who do not have a basic understanding.
