  1. +Lila Lee It depends on what gene is mutated. Cancer is just mutated cells that grow like crazy, without control. It is possible that they self-destruct at some point or like you said, the immune system takes care of it. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I'm sure there is an explanation for everything. Cancer happens in mice as well and there are cases where the cancer disappears.
