@محمداشرف-د9ل “This verse is also mentioned in the Quran, it has the meaning of the verse in the Bible:
The New testament : Jesus once said, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Matt. 19:24.)
Koran 7:40
Surely those who receive our revelations with denial and arrogance, the gates of heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel passes through the eye of a needle. This is how We reward the wicked.”
==That’s to be expected.
When humans live near each other they share. The sometimes share the same words, they share clothing style, they share techniques for house building, they share religious stories.
In this case, christians, probably roman christians and greek christians and armenian and assyrian christians were spreading their religious around and it was sufficiently spread in the various arabic tribes. Mohamed probably never obtained a full copy of the Bible. This was something ultra rare in the 7 th century. He was able to memorize portions of it and he recited the stories to his disciples who eventually wrote it down.
It is even said that the disciples read each others writings and decided on what to keep and what to burn.
So in the end, the Koran ends up being a thinner book compared to the Bible.

@brucemiller8109 I think the message of Jesus is actually the message of Paul and some anonymous writers. Christianity has been turned into a save the world kind of religion by europeans.
There are writings that show that the j people and these guys were having arguments. Eventually, the christians that were j people probably either left the religion or eventually they got old and died and did not have too many new recruits. So, the christian sect survived at the hands of europeans.
I think what happened was that at some point in time, way before year 1 CE, Rome has invaded ancient Israel. Obviously, Israel was defeated and most likely Rome blew away all the soldiers of Israel and executed the royal family.
Israel was left without a king. Rome placed pro-roman friendly kings. The j people were mad but they could do very little. This created a problem for their faith since they are god’s people and they had a contract with the j god. So, how could this have happened? How can a foreign force invade and defeat their army of god? The priestly class could not do much but they knew that they had to come up with an answer the people would accept. So I guess they spun tales about how one day, someone from the line of David would popup from the lower ranks and rule again. Perhaps, they even blamed the people. Perhaps they said the j god is punishing them for their sins. This would place the people into a position of always wondering what they have done wrong, who has done wrong, who is doing evil in their society, how long until the j god forgives them again?
The savior thing isn’t about a son of a god that was going to come and save europeans.
It was about a son of man that was going to come and was going to be the new king of Israel, he was going to be from the line of David, from the line of Abraham.
Since Rome had probably killed the royal family, the j people were probably lead to believe that someone among them is from the royal family line, and he is in hiding, and he was going to come forward and be the new king of Israel.
It is pretty obvious that David and Abraham are very important people for the j people. I think Matthew starts out by giving a lineage from Abraham all the way to Jesus at line 1:1 and Luke does something similar as well.
There isn’t anything about a savior coming to save the world, there isn’t a savior coming to save people from the devil in the traditional j religion.
Most likely, the priestly class blamed their problems on the sins of the j people. The priestly class and the people viewed everything with their theist glasses. They probably thought that god was angry and had sent the Romans as a punishment. If only the people would obey the rules, eventually, a messiah king from the line of David was going to be sent.
As the centuries passed, once in a while a guy claiming to be the messiah popped up. Some turned to believers and joined the new cult while most probably did not.
The NT has plenty of locations where they actually call Jesus the son of man. This would be normal jewish theology.
It is in John that the concept of Jesus being a god or a son of god pops up.
To summarize: No, the j people were not expecting sometime to come from the sky, they were not expecting their god to have a son with a human.
It was going to be just a regular human and he was going to be from the line of David.
The goal is to restore Israel, to save Israel.
It has nothing to do with saving europeans.
