Once in a while, they have major wars with each other. Example, WW1, WW2, the recent Ukraine-Russia war. Western countries (or the government) don’t have a problem with Islam. Have you noticed that the majority of immigrants are muslim? Muslims probably outnumber the j people in Canada by now. Perhaps they accepted Israel as a country in 1948 bc they felt bad for what happened to many j people in Europe. But that is something that is at the government level. The population probably doesn’t like how the palestinian people are being treated. I don’t recall ever hearing Trudeau or similar say anything about how palestinians are bring treated.

I came here in 1980. That was a different time period. It seems that after 1995, the amount of immigration skyrocketed. Anyway, I think there is no shame in accepting facts. Here are the facts (or my opinions): I think the fact is that Canadia and related europeans style countries don’t have a stable system. The population has to constantly increase at a certain rate or else the economy collapses. Since the population is not reproducing at a sufficient rate, they are importing humans from elsewhere. Sometimes the government claims that the economy is great and needs more workers but I think that is just a cover up to the reproduction problem. They seem to have trouble with accepting their fate, their future. The population can’t go up forever. This planet has limited natural resources. About 1 species per day goes extinct. Maybe the petrol problem can be solved with lithium ion batteries and electric cars but you still need petrol to make various plastic parts. Something is going to break down at some point. It is a matter of time.

Canada is a multicultural country and when you are multicultural, you will have internal conflict. I'm not saying that Canada should change.

@bengoldstein2823 That’s the problem. All countries will end up becoming a first world country. All countries will hit the natural resource limit at one point. If the ecology continues to collapse, it will effect everyone. For example, the number of bees has been going down. Governments never plan for the long term: they don’t have a 100 y or 500 y plan. People don’t want to work in factories or work on farms. My solution would be to have a communist dictator style government. The government can build and own certain factories here. Force people to work in it and give them a high pay rate. Reduce the salary difference between doctors, lawyers, law makers, politician, university deans. Their current solution is to send factories to China, India. Then, the US sends war ships and gets into almost a fight over Taiwan. Canada is in a verbal fight with India now. So, they make those countries richer and more powerful and then they are planning to have a war with them.

@luketarplin Both sides (the j people and the palestinians) are terrorists. The palestinian side is not rich and not well armed so they have to use dirty tactics. The problem is balance. Both sides need to be equal in size and have equal weapons.

Isn't it these western countries that came together and decided in 1948 to give Israel to the j people and disregarded what the arabs wanted? I think it all has to do with the fact that these western countries are christian. So what is modern day Canada going to do? Just claim that palestinians are terro every time they take action?

@luketarplin "The Israeli military have given the civilians time and orders to leave Northern Gaza, before a ground assault, which is a lot more chance to escape than Hamas did when they brutally murdered innocent children." ==Why would hamas give a warning? It sounds like you aren't very smart. When your enemy is better armed than you, you can't fight fair. If you were a palestinian, would you give a warning? Would you only attack military positions of the j people?
