@tedcity5861 There are 2 situations: You can have many mom and pop shops. or You can close those shops and replace it by a large shop with a few humans making billions and the rest making much less. You know what I mean?

Whoever the manufacturers are in Canada, they should look to buy products from elsewhere than the USA. It is cheaper to ship things from China to here, in massive boats than to buy from the USA. There are many smaller countries all across the world that can manufacture your stuff.

@ That's true. It drives down the economy. But if you don't give any kind of response, it sends a poor signal to Donald and the republican citizen. It is necessary to not buy products from republican leaning companies. Look at the Ukraine-Russia situation. By not doing more, by voting for Donald, it sends a signal that he can win. Look at the case of Artsakh. No world leader gave a strong response. The USA, Russia and others were selling weapons to Azerbaijan. That gave the signal that Aliev can do anything he wants.

@ The USA can buy whatever they want from elsewhere but there are certain things that are available in Canada. For example, the type of petrol that is sent to the USA from Canada, the factories are setup to process that kind of petrol. Then, there is the potash. Canada is the biggest producer in the world. Then you have indium. Canada has plenty of it and other countries do not have enough. However, the goal of the USA is not to avoid Canada’s market. Their goal is to not do business with anybody else. To just produce everything in the USA. Their tariff will just increase prices locally and make a burden on the population. Before applying high tariffs, they should have a talk with their industry leaders and move some industry to the USA. There is a reason why the world ended up with this economy. He is swimming against the current, trying to turn back the clock.

Look at all the federal job firings. They rehired some of them because there are some in critical positions. It is claimed that Donald is the guy that gets things done.
