  2. I am not alarmed. I don't live there. If I lived there, then I would be alarmed. There was about 30 cm snowfall in Montreal, Estrie, Monteregie. That was alarming. It adds weight to tree, they break and 100,000 people were without electricity for a day. I hope everyone is ok.

  3.  @benable  Of course there is snowfall during winter over Quebec and elsewhere. Most of the time, it is not a problem. It becomes a problem when the temperature hovers around 0 C, which is what happened on the night of Sunday, Dec 03, 2023 and so the snow was sticky. It added enough mass to tree branches and some of them broke and fell down on power lines. I assume by now, Hydro-Quebec reconnected everyone.
