How can 2 different set of parents be correct? I can see that smoking is a problem. It is damaging to the lungs. I don’t know what harm a tattoo does. Perhaps some parents exerted a lot of pressure on the government and the government decided to make it a rule for all of society. Ethanol might not be good for the brain. Gambling? What harm does it do. Marriage? No kid wants to get married. It is often a 20 y old who wants to marry a 13 y old. In some cases, it is a 60 y old. Some of this comes from certain religions, such as mormonism. Sex is something common. There are some 13 y olds having sex with each other. Should we put them in jail? When it comes to motorcycling, biking, football and other dangerous sports, some parents might be against their kids doing dangerous sports. Again, this is a case of possible physical harm. So there is some logic to it. What’s so dangerous about a boy wanting to be a girl? It is a medical condition an doctors should help in their transition. Perhaps psychologists should help as well.

I don’t want to put the lives of other people in dangerous and also the life of the kid. As for voting, probably most kids aren’t interested but if they are, then sure, why not let them vote. @disguy6556 Yes, a lot of religious people are liberal but look at muslim countries. Such families move to Canada, the USA and related european countries and .... I think you have seen the news. I am not saying that they should not move here. I am just stating some facts. Europe and related countries have turned down the religious volume and a great change has taken place, more or less 500 y ago. That change has accelerated since the 196x. But, it is clear to me that a lot of people want to turn back the clock and they seem to be always christians who think that the j god is ruling everything, including policies at the government level. Look at what is happening in the USA. It is a religious warground.

But there is the problem of parents ordering kids as to what they should be, telling them who they should see, who to fall in love with, who they should be, which gender they should be. If you don’t want your kid motorcycling or doing some dangerous sport, there is some merit to that since nobody wants their kids to be harmed.

@disguy6556 I gather information as well. For example: 3 states, Tennessee, Kansas and Ohio, legally bar a transgender person from changing the sex listed on their birth certificate. A 2015 study showed that 32% of transgender people who had to show an ID with a name or gender that did not match their presentation experienced harassment, were denied services or were attacked. The above comes from NBC news. Tenessee and Kansas are part of the Bible Belt. Ohio is partially in the Bible Belt.

His claim is that they will do that to avoid doing army service. My question is, how often does this happen? Is it true? Has there been suddenly a large number of boys reporting to their sergeants that they need to go to Europe for a sex change? A person who’s is desperate to leave, how good a soldier is he going to be on the battlefield?

@YourBiggestFansOK That might be true but I would like to see some official sources since transgender issues, gay rights, whether they should be allowed to be married, allowed to adopt faces strong opposition from religious people. My experience with religious people has been that they feed me bad fruit. For example, a bunch of christians have told me that atheism is responsible for 100 million deaths. When I looked into it, they are talking about Soviet Russia and it is their policies and their leaders that are responsible for it. On top of that, they did not directly kill 100 million people. The issue was much more complicated than christians made it out to be. Then I read the Bible. The good guys, such as Moses uses an army to kill some of the j people just bc they don’t believe in the same god as he does. The good guy does a global flood and kills a lot of innocent people and innocent animals. Then, there is the entire lamb of god thing about Jesus. The good guy actually wants his son to be crucified. Then, there is the Revelation part, which is loaded with insanity. How is that the good guy and how is it called the good Book? I don’t know. What is modern man doing worshiping this book?

So, if a boy’s interests lean towards female interests and he prefers to become a female, wear female cloths and do all the other general social things that make a person a female, then he should do the conversion since he probably has a female brain and is born in a male body. It happens. Nature makes mistakes all the time. Some are born with 2 heads, some are born without any arms, some have a female brain in a male body.

I think when it comes to this case about transgender, the problem mostly stems from religious people. It is mostly them that want to remove the fundamental rights of the LGBT community. I see one person mention his god here. It is probably better to remove a LGBT kid from a highly religious family and place him in a more moderate religious or no religion family.

@wendyculbert5769 Actually, you can change your DNA. Such things have been done in the lab for a few decades. However, they are not going to experiment on humans bc there are risks involved. Taking hormones does work. It is one of the treatments available. Also, you are spreading christian FUD. Can you show me cases of children being mutilated? I know religions do circumcisions on babies and kids. That should be banned.

@DJ_Indigo-Angel 16 y sounds fine. I think the state needs to get involved. This is not like a case about getting the flu, getting asthma, getting vision problems. In those cases, most likely the parent takes the child to a doctor. LGBT issues are tried up with religion, more specifically christianity since that is the major group in Canada. It is mostly christian groups that oppose LGBT rights. They don’t want them to exist, or want them jailed, consider it a mental illness that can be treated with prayer, they don’t want them to get married, no job, don’t give service if they come into your restaurant and all that. So, the state needs to step in since their fundamental rights are likely to get violated. It is the same thing in the case of jehova witnesses who don’t want their child to get a blood transfusion. The state needs to make rules that overrides religious dogma.

Ok, who should choose what the gender of a kid is? I haven't had a bedtime when I was a kid. I did my homework, watched TV, when I felt sleepy, it was time to go to bed and setup the alarm clock to wake next morning, get ready for school.
