  1. The Lib/NDP did not raise the prices of rent and prices of houses. That is something that is decided by the property owners. It is no different than dentists comming together and deciding to raise their prices. It is no different than lawyers trying to make 200 k$/y. This is what capitalism leads to. If you refuse to pay them what they are asking, they will reduce their prices. What you need is a governing body that represents the people: a kind of union man.

  3.  @YardPrep00  Bringing a lot of immigrants? The property owners watch the news just like I do and they hear there are a lot of immigrants coming. They say to themselves, let’s try to ask for more. Certain people are willing to pay more. Those who are not able are forced to leave. The prices for houses also went up. Such thing happened before, I think around 2005. There was suddenly a lot of demand for houses, so, sellers were asking for more. That is what happens in a free market: Get as much money as you can. That’s the philosophy of capitalism. COVID became an excuse to raise food prices. It went up by 10% and more and it stayed at those prices. Nobody wants to make less money. We all want more.
