One of the principle ingredients is hell. This religion essentially tells people that if you don’t join this religion or if you ever leave this religion, then the big boss is sending you to hell. You also wrote they will be judged. So yes, you do fear hell. By joining Jesus’s religion, he offers you protection.

It is normal that humans don’t believe in the same gods. This is something that was known to the primitive humans that wrote the tanakh, bible, koran and so on. Having problems in life is also normal. Traditionally, humans have interpreted natural disasters as being a punishment from the gods. It’s not just a the jews who had this inkling. It was multiple cultures who had these thought.

If it is important for you, go to church. Some people feel good when they go to church. It is a big planet with lots of people with lots of ideas. @denisethompson1035 Emotions are important. It is important for survival and all animals have emotions, including fear. This is something that is observable. Being afraid of the dark and shadows and noises is normal. These are things that have help our ancestors from long ago survive. Survivors reproduce. Those who are fearless tend to get themselves into trouble and they get culled and don’t have offspring. Try this. Go behind a cat ad while he is not looking, make a loud sound. Notice how he gets afraid. Try the same with a human. This demonstrates how a cat’s brain and the human brain have similar functions. These functions are not there just for the heck of it. The purpose is survival. Being afraid of pain, of disease and death is normal. We are all emotional machines and these emotions feel bad to us. So, a few clever people have invented hell and have inserted it into the Bible and billions of people are afraid of that particular god and his torture room. It is a psychological tool to present people from leaving the christian and muslim religions. These 2 religions are the most successful religions ever. The secret ingredient is hell. “I simply must repent. Then if I cease to do evil; and learn to do well, I am redeemed.” ==Of course. I understand what you are talking about. It is a matter of psychology and logic. It makes sense to use your emotions to control you.

I am not here to make you feel bad. A lot of people seem to think that whenever there is a problem, they have to claim that that problem is described in the Bible. Judaism doesn’t even have the concept of a torture room. You should look into the development of the christian religion. A certain cult took the concept of hell from the greek religion. It’s the idea of the underworld. Christianity is a mishmash religion of whatever existed in the local area. “The saints have been beheaded, burned, and tortured since they crucified Jesus.” ==Those are terrible things and that was a long time ago. Fortunately, the european culture has evolved and treats humans with some dignity. “The bible clearly says that they still alive will have to die the same way. The bible is not newspaper clippings. The gospels are anonymously written. We don’t know who wrote them. We don’t know anything about the people who wrote them. Maybe they were deluded. Maybe they had mental problems. This is why, the bible doesn’t get classified as history. It goes into the religion category. Yes, over time, the originals have degraded. Over time, scribes have made copies. How could these so-called holy text degrade and turn to dust? Couldn’t this god make something of a better material instead of insect juice, metal oxides, goat skin and papyrus? @truthmatters758 PART 5: What do you experience? I don’t think anyone is being deceived by a guy named devil or satan. Such things are all in your head. Primitive humans were afraid of invisible foes because they didn’t understand the world around them. So, they made up good guys and bad guys. In christinaity and islam, the jewish god character has been made into the ultimate good guy and the satan character has been made into the ultimate bad guy. In some religions, such as the greek and roman religion, the gods aren’t strictly good or evil. They have characteristics of both, which is more realistic. I would say all religions are man made and christianity is a religion among hundreds of others. It’s just that it became popular with our ancestors and it is very much integrated into the culture right now so that to many, it does not seem strange. To someone who has never heard of it, it would seem strange that a god has a son with a human female and that the goal of his existence is to get killed by police officers. I’m sure that the Book of Enoch is nice but in the end, it is just ink on paper and anyone can buy some ink and paper. Which particular part do you have in mind? Do you have a particular point to make? Which part is in parallel with Matthew Luke Mark and John? I pray that evidence becomes important for you. Reality is not something that you just read on pages. It has to be something that is observable and it has to be observable by many. This is why science is so successful and there is only one of it instead of having thousands of different institutions claiming that they are the true church and all others are false.
