@easternwoods4378 : Well, the test is for US citizens who are a mix of people I think. So, they collect DNA samples from various people in other countries who are mostly pure and that's what they compare with. For example, a scientific analysis of armenians have revealed that they have been pretty isolated. Today's armenian people's DNA was compared to old skeletons found in the same country. They are the most unmixed people according to the study.

@Angarsk100 : "We all ultimately come from the same place." ==Yes but eventually populations split up. I do not know why they split up. Perhaps 1 guy wants to be the tribe's leader and so an argument starts and they break away. Perhaps they split because resources run low and half the people want to leave and go into another direction. The moment when the split occurs, whatever mutation gets added to their genome stays in their respective population. Also, the moment they split, that is the moment when their languages diverge. So does their custom and religion. This is how humanities path across the globe has been mapped with genetics. So, it is certainly possible that some groups have been genetically isolated for a few thousand years.
