@Bangy that sounds like a strawman itself. Just because a group of people faced prosecution doesn’t give them legitimacy. CCP is not the only government that identify it as a cult. Like a said, the centre believe of this religion is that you don’t need to go to hospital, and it’s not like cryptic message up for interpretation, the leader himself literally said it. And just so you know, I think the anti-vaxx is no less of a cult as well

@joelleighton1191 their leaders committed tax fraud and scam, like all cult leaders do

@Bangy wild allegation? It’s centre believe is that as long as you have enough “energy”, you become immune to sickness and therefore never need to use medicine. How’s that not a cult?

@Bangy dude, you are in a YouTube comment section, I’m not spending hours to convince you it’s a cult. If you don’t believe it, you can find information on your own, or better perhaps, join it. I’ve done my warning, and if you wanna play with fire, be my guest

@Bangy then many of its believer must have wrongfully interpret the text. Look, I’ll admit, there is a fine line between religion and cult. For me, if the religion becomes political in our day and age, unless it’s a national religion, it’s more or less unacceptable. Falungong runs several media companies and is a heavy trump supporter, all the while it’s leader is building million dollar mansions in New Jersey.

@Bangy that’s the English epoach time. Have you ever read the Chinese version? It has headline that read “sky shows signs suggesting CCP demise” or “200 millions quit CCP so far”. The paper spend no effort in being objective. I’m not someone who question data often, but I’m afraid on this front your survey is serious off. If I need to draw parallel, they are somewhat like the evangelicals in America politics: determined, unhinged, and willing to do anything for political powers. Such non-principles organization with religious intend should be at least considered to be radical, and personally, I think “cult” is not exaggerating at all I was at Hongkong for occupy central back in 2014, democracy must be achieved from a civil movement, and it’s sad to see some of our leaders prostituted themselves to falungong.

@Bangy it’s not me, it’s those believers who refused to go to a hospital when sick.

@Bangy well for once, vice and BBC both had excellent reports on China. It is not the position that they take that troubles me, it’s their value. Aside from many fake practitioners who simply used it as a way to immigrate to the west, the action of its leadership all aims to amass political capital in the west. I hope you see that this organization is a cancer to western democracy, and is welling to align to any political believe as long as it gives them power
