Javier Rosas and bomb in Iraq was liberty bomb?

BC Bob you know, Hong Kong was the wealthiest city of China when it was returned in 1999. But now it’s behind the small fishing village ShengZhen. Makes you wonder what happened in 20 years that “cracked” this pearl of the east?

@Alpha Delta how do you know your information is the fact? I live in Hong Kong and I hate protest. Many of them don’t even know what it is about. They just want to throw stuff at the police. I support the government this despite I’m pro-democracy. The crowd wants blood this time, and western media is not helping to smooth things down.
8
@Harry M Hansen let someone from Hong Kong tell you, we hate these riot. So don’t talk like you understand us, while you never set foot on this decaying city
7
@Sneaky Pewpz thank god you are not a police. I was in Hong Kong and I support the police 100%, they are the line between a order and anarchy. And unlike you think, most Hong Kong people don’t agree with these hot headed protestors
6
@Alpha Delta sounds like someone who never lived in Hong Kong. We don’t want riot and protest, we want healthcare, affordable housing, higher minimum wages. Go ask how many protestors know what they are there for, and you will find they simply want some target to blame.
5
@Dreamstate you are somewhat right. it’s these hot-headed student that destroyed the Hong Kong identity. There was a time where this city symbolized the birthplace of modern China, now its city crumbling into chaos and anarchy
5
@Jerrodb5 what the man wants to click it’s his own choice. After all, how is the west “free” if I can’t even like my own comment? :/
3
@Alpha Delta, no, I can tell you most people I know hate the protest as well. They are only focused on the Kowloon district and island. My family is in new new district, and all we want was they suspend the bill for a another reading (it is a horribly drafted tbh). What you see here is true but biased, and these protestors represent a very small fraction of the public opinion.
3
@Vip Lau YES, I agree, this protest should target the rich, not the poor
3
@Trajanz you don’t know your history. Mao’s great leap was a failure. It’s Deng’s reform that changed China. No country in the world is perfect, we have more oppression cuz we have more history.
3
@Working account Jason but it was the Chinese who’s been giving Hong Kong economic transfusion for the last 10 years.
2
@The Official EDC I’ve never been harassed by a police in Hong Kong, only crazy teenagers who threaten me to join them or they will kill me
2
@martin ma my bad, 1997
2
Enju Aihara 2 or what? Will US come and “liberate” them?
2
Those laser has hospitalized several police... this comment is disgusting, I can’t believe you would joke about things that can cause temporary blindness, no matter which side your on?
2
@Vencent Van if so I think it’s justify to use deadly force. Since American shoot others with much less reason.
2
@li so hurting a few police is justified because the protestors suffered greater lost? This is such a twisted logic. Those laser blind people, so doesn’t matter if which side uses it, it’s violence and should be condemned.
2
@Alpha Delta my family once lived on the island, and three generations after we are slowly forced out of the city. China didn’t put out business, raise housing price. The capitalists did. It least I know it’s mainland who kept Hong Kong from becoming the second Detroit, so I think twice before making them angry.
1
@Theo Jonsson our city is dying, and what happened to my family will happens to yours if our economy continues like that. Changes are needed, no matter which side you are on, you must agree that our failing government is the least of our concern.
1
@番茄蘑菇人 truth be told, I don’t think they want anything at this point. I mean, what would they expect to eat out of this? The west will never give actual support, just empty promises
1
@Droiz this is not peaceful, I’ve had crazy teen dragging me cloth because I refuse to join them. They fought not for democracy, but violence
1
@Van Thai dude, not every copyright infringement in China is the government doing.
1
vmwindustries yea, lot more death is what will be. I live in Hong Kong, I’ve only been harassed by protesters, not the police
1
@Vice News, can you do a report on Hong Kong’s economy? This protest looks like a social issue, but it’s a really about a government losing trust and economic control. Hong Kong is the very example where capitalism goes extremely wrong
1
@C G you recalled someone called Donald trump?
1
@C G killing is killing, it’s never justified. Unless the people Hiroshima voluntarily got nuked to stop the war, it’s still a crime against humanity.
1
@C G “The dream for some is the nightmare for others”, extremes it’s like trump maybe good for you, but it’s nightmare for others. The fact you made those comment shows how selfish you are.
1
No need, jus cut trade and Hong Kong is dead, it has been dying for a long time
1
@Hoàng Nguyên well Canada is a “socialist” country as well...
1
@big bruh I’ll let you in on a secret, NDP is going to win 👀 JK but they did in my province 🤣
1
Vencent Van yes, while they rest suffer from out of control capitalism
1
@Dracul warmz but we don’t have law to protect start-up, healthcare or affordable housing. Our economy is near critical, and it’s these laws the prevent us from changing
1
This is so such an old thinking, that transition into democracy can only achieve by protest and violence. We will not let what happened in Europe happens again in Asia, because nothing, nothing, in the world, is worth starting a war.
1
@James Branord Hong Kong is already in a capitalism nightmare. It’s a very good example on the worst side of capitalism
1
@li idk if you can read Chinese or not, but that’s the photo of the police on scene of the arrest. https://www.guancha.cn/politics/2019_08_06_512521.shtml And for your context, laser can cause eye damage. Some of which used in the riot are found to be modified with 300 W output (most commercial laser does not exceed 200 W) J. Marshall, J.B. O’Hagan, J.R. Tyrer. (2016). Eye hazard of laser ‘pointer’ in perspective. British Journal of Ophthalmology, 100(5), 583-584.

@li awareness is good, but it doesn’t put money in their pocket, roof on their head. They lash out simply because their way of life is failing apart. In truth, the world is aware, but what can they do to help?
