Society is truly going backward. Have you ever seen a country going back on birth control? No. Cuz it’s stupid. Even China didn’t do it. We are somehow less free than f*cking China

@sanicthehedgehog1260 eugenic is a different issue where they forced woman into abortion and sterilization. The point of abortion right is so that woman has the power to chose when and where to raise their children. Some people (in fact the majority of population) are not financially capable to raise a child before their 30s. And I don’t believe embryos are human. If the childbirth threatens the mother’s life, it is still standard procedure to keep the mother. How can one argue abortion being illegal while saying abortion to save a woman’s life is okay? Are we saying the mother’s life is worth more than the child?

So we should give more power to Congress? With like 12% approval rating

@sanicthehedgehog1260 if you give birth just to give up the kid for abortion. What difference is there between a woman and a sack of meat that serves just as a container for an infant for 10 months? If one is so desperate for children, there are many kids in the system that still don’t have a home. Why can’t one adopt someone who’s lost their parent due to uncontrollable causes, instead of a preventable one

@sanicthehedgehog1260 I don’t see the issue of pick and choose. If I know my kid has serious genetic defect, I would rather make sure it is not born than to put it through the suffering. And in the case of Down syndrome, those social programs are not nearly enough, and can easily put someone below the poverty line. The fact you said “the genetic makeup is human” is dangerously eugenic. There is no clear cut line of “this is human” in genetic, every gene can be traced back to other species. I think pro-life people should be aware that no science makes the defining claim “this is now a human”. The so-called heartbeat, fertilization, are mere process of development. If anything, I can easily defines a organism as an individual that is independently functional, which in this case would be up to child birth.

@sanicthehedgehog1260 the only possible argument against abortion is religion. I am getting tired of you sounding like it’s a “murder”. For most people, an embryo inside of some stranger doesn’t qualified as human. Most Americans, when asked about this question, mostly said they don’t care. Why are you, a total stranger, telling woman you never met before how to live their life? For country that values freedom, I see this as absolutely ridiculous

@sanicthehedgehog1260 the problem isn’t about whether you should get an abortion, is whether you can. I’m pro-choice, but I like kids, I think I’ll have one, but with the person I love and when me and girlfriend are ready to commit to the child. I don’t see why me and my loved one can’t be allowed to choose the best time ot make a life-changing decision

@sanicthehedgehog1260 this isn’t about unlikely, is about “what if”. Out of all the people living in that state, I’m sure you can find one case where a woman is at a tough spot in life and pregnant. You can advertise all you want about the benefit of having a kid, but why are u so he’ll bend on making it into a law? If it is common sense, then why is does this case make it to the Supreme Court again and again? Oh and as for dating. I don’t care what my gf did in the past. It’s called basic respect. If I am girl and my date asks me about this, I would probably reply “none of your business”. You can ofc leaves out anyone who had an abortion, that’s on you, we live in a free society. But I certainly would prefer someone with abortion than someone with a kid who’s with their EX or in the system

Jotunn low fertility rate is associated with highly developed society. I guess you want Europe countries to become one of those “sh*hole counties”

@organizedchaos4559 I wouldn’t want the government telling me whether I can be circumcised, or whether my gf can get an abortion. I want neither of them regulating my medical decision
