  1. Every fucking vaccine is for profit. You think we make vaccine for charity? Be real here, no one cares about Zika vaccine, cuz it doesn’t make money. Academic is the same thing. Maybe if the government pays us more than some blue collar we can actually do real science. Everything has a price tag, US government is just too selfish to pay for it

  3. Richard yea but it’s the company that make them, eh? It’s like leaving a cat with a bawl of fish and expect it to not eat them. There’s nothing wrong wanting to research the most profitable vaccine, since it’s probably the most needed one. But if we only develop science we need, we’d never have seen quantum mechanics, string theory, relativity.
