  9. @bellz9113, assuming ur American... I’m Canadian so I’m a bit lacking in terms of US forensic field, but I know US is even better cuz American academy of forensic science basically set all the standard in this field. Here is a list of common jobs in this field: Civilian: Coroner: the person who goes on scene and determine if a case should be open or not. We also locate next of kin, order other forensic test if we deem necessary. 4 years of undergrad in this area should do it, 75k here is Canada after 2 years after. Pathologist: highest earning job, need a medical degree, perform autopsy, determine biological cause of death. Entomologist, toxicologist: these are lab jobs, you’d need a science degree and major in its respected filed. Entomologist study insect on dead body, toxicologist study poisson. Police: CSI: you still need an undergrad in science for this, but also standard police training. Works like coroner. Fingerprint expert: very hard but short training, need to be a police officer, but I think there is a way for civilian to do it as well. I’m civilian so not too sure about US police job. But I think if u have background in engineering, computer science(cyber crime), chemistry or biology, there is plenty of jobs in the field with limited training. If ur going into university , I seriously suggest you to consider forensic science if ur not sure which one u like, cuz there is a lot of different job potential in the field. hard training for most of them, but rly adventurous if u ask me.
