Other cells will go lysis (self-destruct) after certain replication cycle. That comment is suppose to be a joke on the fact that your “ADHD is not a real medical condition” comment, nothing to do with covid. Google scholar provides thousands of free articles to those who wants to learn. I’d say go check it out, but evidently you might have skipped your “intro to academic writing” class too many times.

And where da faq did ppl get that vitamin d help prevent covid 19? Vitamin d is a steroid that help intestinal absorption. Yes, Vd activate your innate immune system, and it’s known to HELP (you understand this word? Help? Not “make your immune”) to prevent viral infection, no matter it’s covid 19 or a flue. I do, however, suggest you to take some thou, it is shown that kids with ADHD have Vd deficiency. Also if you want Vd you can get it in supplements form, it’s why more effective than going to the beach, and why less chance of skin cancer. You don’t go to beach for Vd, you go cuz you want to

@ChipmunkRapidsMadMan1869 well, if you ignore that 0.3% death rate is merely a statistical value, any virus will have different effect on different population, the accelerated antigen shift when infecting healthy population, and the potential of high mutation rate if you loose control of the infected number. The fact that someone (Britain) proposed to achieve “herd immunity” by letting people get infected is so crazy it’s almost laughable. Yes, for the past 3000 years or so we did minimum lockdown for every pandemic, no matter it’s a flue or the Black Death. But guess what genius? It’s the 21st century! Technology has greatly improved! We can create vaccine in around a year or so, finish inoculating ppl in two. Do you understand? We didn’t quarantine the healthy cuz we don’t have the technology to make ppl immune other than catching the virus. Spanish flue’s death rate was around 0.6%, but it was much higher in countries in Southern Europe. Do you see? It’s not ignoring traditional wisdom, is improving a sh*tty system

@loturzelrestaurant atheism has a broad range, I think what you describe are what some would refer to as “strong atheism”. I do agree most atheist should not be considered religious, tho I can’t agree we should define atheism using the definition of religion. Anyway, this is debated topic even amongst experts, so what are we even doing here in a YouTube comment section

@markplimsoll telomere is the end of your chromosome. Since linear chromosomes can’t replicate the end, it will lose a small fragment each replication cycle. Telomere is a non-coding sequence that can be added back by telomerase, but it’s still not 100% recovery. Some cancer mutations have increased telomerase expression, which helps the cell maintain genome stability.

As for cancer research, I happen to think we should fund all field of medical research, cancer included. But I won’t reject the idea of more research grant for cancer, especially since my lab works on tumour. Ofc, given you are not too old to walk without wheelchair
