Thom how can u not know the story of Sodom & Gomorrah ?? u got it WRONG...the story is used as the justification for anti-gay theology...short form : Lot lived in Sodom ...god came to Abraham in the form of three men and told him He was going to destroy the Sodom if it was as bad as the "outcry" said...but Abraham asked God to spare it for 10 just men...God said ok,...the three Men went to Sodom.... Lot met them at the gate and pleaded for them to come to his house they went...Lot feed them but before they went to bed outside of his home all the men of Sodom gathered and wanted the three Men to be given to the them so that they could sexually maltreat them since they felt these three foreigners were in Sodom judging them.... Lot offered his virgin daughters to the crowd they refused...the three Men stepped forward and with a flash of light blinded the crowd...Lot and his wife and daughters left Sodom ...Pillar of salt...hide in a cave..daughters think they are the last people on earth so they get Lot drunk so they can get pregnant to keep humanity alive

Vierotchka u got into too much detail...the general idea is the Travelers were protected by Lot from the mob who then punished the mob to allow Lot to escape the city then the city was destroyed and Lot's daughters thought they were ensuring the survival of their people by the seduction of their father only to discover the whole world had not been destroyed....this story has been used to demonize gay people when in fact it had nothing to do with homosexuality
