  1. As a retired veteran, I’ve known lots of people who have achieve more things while serving that would not have if they didn’t served. It’s not all bad. HOWEVER, I will say, I didn’t learn about how corrupt the military is, protecting the oligarchy financial interests and not defending the country until I was close to retirement. I also learned around that same time how war is profitable and this country have them for that reason and not because they care about service members or the other country.
