Having large groups of people with student loans helps his top donors from two groups, banking and academia. Why would he hurt his donors? Student loans, like healthcare, homelessness, crimes, reparations, illegal immigration are areas politicians will never fix. If they fix these problems, they will lose their power to control large masses of people.
