  1. I used to pay my daughter for her grades. It was expensive because she was a 4.0 student. I naively thought that having a 4.1 GPA, 32 ACT would have given her a scholarship to her first choice school. Well, they did offer $15,000 but didn’t do anything with a $70,000 tuition. She decided to stay in state where the tuition was free.
