  1. This is not 100%. As a woman, my military service was held AGAINST me during my divorce. I had to fight for primary custody, even though I was retiring and it costs me over $25,000 (after firing the attorney because it would have cost over $50,000 if I didn’t). He was a high wage earner and the court system was leaning towards income over sex. Keep in mind, I was senior enlisted so I was a pennies and nickels person either. And the judge was a woman.

  3. Parenting in complicated. Although I grew up with both parents in the house, my dad was invisible because my working mom did everything for us. I know have daddy issues because I ended up marrying an invisible man. What saved me is my financial acumen, something I didn’t learn from neither but learned what not to do so I excelled and is doing the best from all of my siblings now.
