  1. Working for the government provides job security. Duh. Maybe that is why a lot of older people worked for the government. I’m a retired veteran and don’t have to work again in my life because I know basic math and knows how to live within my means. My adult child wants to find a job that ‘makes her happy’ even if it don’t pay her bills, provide medical care or job security. For me, job security gave me mental peace. She will learn the hard way.
