  1. @Maria My 23 year old kid, just finished grad school, went to private schools K4-12, lived in nice subdivisions, drove in and eventually drove luxury cars, traveled to all 50 states, different Caribbean islands, Toronto and Paris for school trips, this child now says she is oppressed because of her race, sex and sexuality that changed every year she was in undergrad. Unfortunately, we don’t have a relationship right now because she wasn’t able to boss me around and I wouldn’t tolerate no child telling me what to do, how think, etc.

  2. I was that person who advocated for kids to go to college or even the military. Not any more. My own kid went to college and just finished her grad degree against my advice because it was not in STEM so I think it wasn’t necessary. I once offered to help her pay off her debt but now she don’t like me anymore, we don’t have a relationship anymore so I get to keep my money. I talk a lot to different people when I’m at appointments. At the dentist, I asked the dental tech what was her path, she mentioned a dental school that referred her to the dentist office that she was working at. That was perfect and now I asked young people, what do they want to do and direct them to tech school that have better job placement that colleges/universities. Also, when my nephew, who just graduated from grad school was saying he was going to go for doctorate, he couldn’t give me a career plan that required the degree but also said he wanted the government to pay off his student loans. I shake my head in shame and said your thinking is wrong, and you should pay off your own loans. I wasn’t invited to the graduation. 😂😂😂 Oh well. I’m still alive!
