Yeah, I agree, it is a setup to elicit outrage. If they wanted to play the race card, there are many beautiful black women they could have used but they selected this androgynous looking person who is not attractive. Also, why do they have to keep rewriting old favorites instead of creating their own franchises? If they are so creative, as they claim to be, create your own stuff. There is a high probability the newly created stuff will not get anymore support that the rewrite.

Who wants to bet she is queer? That was why she was selected. An androgynous queer person not a beautiful woman. There are many beautiful black Women’s in the UK. I’m currently rewatching Game of Thrones and because it is an English produced series, there are many beautiful brown ladies in that series. They could have picked one of them.
