  1. I don’t know if LOTS of women return to work because they ‘love’ their job versus the required maternity leave allowed. When I was in the Navy and had my child, in 2000, I only had 6 weeks maternity (convalescent) leave. It did changed to 18 weeks in 2015 but changed to 12 weeks in 2016 to match all the services. So it all depends on company policies.
