To follow up on her comment about getting a clearance at 23, there are many 19 year olds military members, right out of their specialty schools that is read in to highly classified material as they are trusted base on their jobs. Those people were taught to be scared shitless that if they mishandled it because they can lose their careers and possibly go to jail. But here this is happening to the top echelons of THEIR chain of command and those people mishandling will get off. That is another reason not to trust the government.
