On the flip side, my black daughter, 32 on her ACT, 4.11 GPA, 4 different honors society, international club VP, Mock trial member (4 yrs), track and field athlete and volunteered for stuff was reject from 2 of her reach schools. Why? I don’t know but she didn’t come from an improvised area but was private school educated. Coincidentally, the Val, black/Puerto Rican, in her class was accepted to Harvard.

  4.  @Roadrun100  It depends on what you mean by economic status. Everyone who send their kids to private schools are not wealthy but make sacrifices so their kids can have a better education. Remember when we were told and told our kids, if they work hard in school they would get lots of scholarships? That is not always the case and I learned that from her experience.

  5. At no point to those arguing for affirmative action, states why Asians and Indians do well in school and to encourage other nationalities to push those same standards within their own communities. Asians and Indians have strong family structures that pushes education.
