  3. Young people identifying as a member of the rainbow mafia is not authentic. They are doing it to fit in. Notice how it is never the popular, football players, other athletes or cheerleaders or even large groups of children in urban areas doing this. It is wealthy children, the socially awkward and loners who wants to fit in with a group, any group.
