  1. Child support payments should be used for a portion of rent and gas, less than half, but definitely not 100% of those costs and adult clothing. I received child support and I was a woman how put that money in a separate account that was strictly used for my child. It was never used for me and when she went to college, I gave her entire balance that was left in that account.
