  1. As a black woman, I didn’t claim to be a Democrat nor conservative. I was a person who just didn’t care about politics. The first time I voted was in 2008. Being active duty in the Navy, many military members disliked John McCain, don’t believe the lies he was liked. His political career was more aligned with the swamp that disadvantaged veterans. Anyway, I fell for the woman and black man hype and voted for Hillary in the primary and Obama for the general election not knowing what policies they supported. We even went to the inauguration. Then I started noticing how the media didn’t report on anything bad. Living in the DMV, I saw how gentrification were hurting minorities. My eyes were opened to the craziness and started paying attention. I didn’t vote for him in 2012.
