Timothy wasn’t underage. He was 18, no one died and his parents didn’t buy the weapon for him and bragged about it. I don’t think these cases are the same. However, it can be mentioned for those race hustlers who would say, ‘if he was black this result would be different.’

For this case and many other situations in this country today, unless they start holding people accountable wrongdoing, nothing will change. I agree the parents should be charged but the school also bare some responsibility. Couldn’t they 5150, involuntarily psychiatric hold, a minor? If a child threatens to hurt themselves, they will hold them. Since he threatened to hurt others, the same rules should apply.
