  1. The grift goes all the way to the top to include politicians. They donate to politic campaigns, then those same politicians give those organizations federal dollars back in return. Politicians are being paid to look the other way because they don’t want to fix the problem.

STOP giving money to those organizations especially the ones with high administration costs or the top people salary are ridiculously high while the workers are very low like Salvation Army, Goodwill, Red Cross. During my military days, we had annual CFC (Combined Federal Campaign) that lists organizations to donate too. Some were for one time donations or monthly allotments. MANY of those organizations had high administration costs. I told my junior Sailors, (1) you don’t have to feel pressured to give, (2) you don’t have to do the allotment do a one time payment and (3) pay VERY close attention to the administration cost because the higher the number, most of the money do NOT get to the intended purpose. I admit, I don’t believe in giving money to organizations where you don’t see how the money is spent. If you want to help people, go to organizations and give food and clothing directly or volunteer your time. If they don’t want to accept the donated food, clothing or your time, walk away.
