As a retired veteran, I wasn’t going to vote for that ticket because I’m on the Trump/Vance train. But I will say, I couldn’t vote for McCain in 2008 because being stationed on an aircraft carrier, I was told McCain was NOT for veterans (they showed me his voting records on veteran issues) and advised to read the autobiographies from the POWs who was with him and how their treatment differs because he was the son of the highest ranking Admiral in the Pacific. And when I heard him made statement to reduce veterans benefits, I completely lost respect for him. In other words, being in the military isn’t always a deal maker. It is what they did with their military service that matters. Vance was a junior Marine which is different from Walz as a CSM, in a command leadership position, responsible for a battalion.
