  1. As a retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer, E7, months before I retired, our Command Master Chief (CMC), E9 position was vacant and we were rotating the duties amongst our Chief Mess. I filled in a few times. According to Walz, I could start telling people I’m a retired Command Master Chief. This is the exact situation he did. What he did was insulting and he should be held accountable. Unfortunately, because he is on the (D) team, he will be protected.
