  1. They beat forces that Napoleon sent to Haiti. They never faced Napoleon on a battle field or guerrilla warfare. He wasn't even there to organize the contingent sent on Haiti. So yes it's impressive that Toussaint Louverture came to defeat them, but let's not act like he faced Napoleon directly or indirectly.. he wasn't there nor committed to Haiti.
