From about 2005 to 2013 my husband and I went to Vegas a lot. His niece and her boyfriend lived there so it was cheap and fun. There were much worse areas near downtown near the freeway underpasses. There were just gangs of homeless people roving around. We were down there to pick up his niece for lunch as she worked in the area. I can't even imagine what it is like now.
